Local Emergency Fund

This fund prioritizes opportunities that provide emergency food, essentials, housing and well-being supports.

Requests of up to $500 can be made through this fund. Limited funding is available for Year 1.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Applications are accepted from Registered Charities.

• The organization focuses on supporting those living in, or at high risk of, food insecurity and other impacts of poverty
• The organization has existing, trusting relationships with members of a low-income community

Community Capacity Grant

The United Way for Haliburton Kawartha Lakes invites all interested and eligible organizations located in City of Kawartha Lakes or Haliburton County to submit requests for support through our new Community Capacity stream of funding.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and funds will be disbursed until all funds are granted.
